Linda Badinger | Offering private lessons in Carson City, Nevada |
Introduction Hi! My name is Linda Badinger. I love to teach people of all ages.I teach vocals, piano, and songwriting. Beginners are welcome! My Teaching Background At a very early age, I knew music was going to be my life. After studying classical piano with several acclaimed teachers in the Dallas Metroplex, I decided to expand my repertoire by attending North Texas State University where I studied Jazz Performance. It was there that I met my husband Michael. We continued playing together and going to NTSU, my husband being the leader and drummer in many of the bands that we played in. From there I continued to pursue my career in the LA area playing doing jingles, studio work, and everything in between. I come from a long line of teachers and musicians. My father (former leading tenor of The Metropolitan Opera),my grandmother, my husband, my father-in-law and my 2 children.I also love to write and record all kinds of original music.I have been singing and playing professionally for 25 years.I am also a pre-certified Speech Level Singing teacher, which is used by 120 Grammy winning artists.I have played with Steve Bailey from the Rippingtons, Tom Lilly,Tim Redfield, Terry Talbot, Wendy Francisco,Mark Austin of The Mark Austin Band, Ron Kenoly, Paul Baloche, Phil Driscoll, and Billy Preston.I have played in bands that have opened up for Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Ray Vaugn,Delirious, Jars of Clay, Michael W Smith to name a few.But what I really find the most rewarding is teaching and helping others fulfill their dreams and goals.I love to help others love music.I love to have fun when I teach. And I like to help my students have fun as well.
My Teaching Philosophy I teach what my students want to learn. I don't believe in making my students do songs that they don't like to do,but I incorporate technique in every lesson. I mix traditional and non-traditional methods. Rates And Availability I teach in an office that is located in Carson City, Nevada. I am willing to come to the home, but prefer my office. I charge $25.00 for 1/2 hour, $33.00 for 45 min, and $50.00 for an hour lesson. |
