    About MeContact Me
I have been teaching piano and voice to students of all levels and ages in Alabama for over 25 years. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Communications from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with an emphasis in piano and voice study.

I am a member of the Alabama Music Teachers Association and the Music Educators National Conference.

In 1980, I was a soloist with the Samford University Chorale and the Alabama Symphony during the performance of "Handel's Messiah". I had the opportunity, in 1983, to perform as a solo artist at The World Trade Center in New York. There I gave a concert featuring my original compositions for piano and voice.

As a COMPOSER /ARRANGER: I have written: soundtracks for Alabama Public Television documentaries, ballet compositions, songs for church choirs, and have authored A Piano Method Series entitled, "THE JACKSON PIANO LIBRARY".

Even though I strive to give each student exposure to many musical styles, I try to focus and adapt the student's lessons to his/her STYLE OF CHOICE. This keeps the student excited and interested...which means he/she will practice more...which makes him/her a better musician.
Not every student will become, nor WANT to become a concert pianist, however, the student hopefully WILL develop a skill that will give him/her enjoyment for the rest of his/her life!

Over the last 25 years, I've learned that you are NEVER too young nor too old to pursue music exploration and study. I have taught music to students as young as 4 and as old as 80. Even babies have the ability to perceive rhythm and sound... AND If you are STILL BREATHING, then you aren't too old either.

    What's holding you back??

I'd like to offer you a *FREE INTRODUCTORY PIANO LESSON* to get you started.
    There's no obligation to enroll.

I teach at my studio in the Sumiton - Dora, (Alabama) area. This is about 30 miles northwest of Birmingham.
