Hi Everyone!

Plans for the first every Lehigh Valley Flute Camp are coming together. We've combined the High School and Middle School camps into the week of July 13-17 for various reasons. We have a lot of great things planned!

For the High School campers, we'll be working on this year's District 10 audition piece for flute, which is one of my favorites, Faure's Fantasie. We'll also be talking about how to practice in general so that it's fun.

For the Middle School campers, well be working on Dvorak's Humoreque. I think this is a great fun piece for young flutists to play.

Both groups will be working on ensemble play and technique. We'll also be looking at the role that the flute has played throughout history, from ancient times, to the present.

It's going to be fun so, if you haven't signed up yet, please do! There are just a few spots left. Mention this blog, and we'll wave the late fee!
