I find it a challenge when sometime a student may get dismayed when the process of singing or playing is not going fast enough for them, I usually tell them that it doesn't happen overnight and my favorite line is "Rome was not built in a day" I also tell them that a lot of time must be put into it to get the best result, key word being "practice". I love building their confidence and that is when they get better.
