    Introduction
My instrument is the piano, and I have played for as long as I can remember. My life is about sharing music both as solo performer and as teacher. The modern piano is such a versatile and expressive instrument! With it we can create a magical world of sound and beauty. Exploring this world with my students is for me life's greatest adventure.

    My Teaching Background
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Pomona College and my Master of Music degree from Western Washington University. I am a long-time member of Music Teachers National Association, and I am also affiliated with the Eastside Music Teachers Association and the Lake Washington Music Teachers Association. I have over thirty years of teaching and performing experience. For more details please visit my website at http://www.sandraheinkepiano.com .

    My Teaching Philosophy
Teaching music is for me both a privilege and a pleasure. Quite simply I am sharing with you my knowledge and my love of music. To work with me you need have only two qualifications: a desire to learn and the willingness to practice. I teach all ages and levels of ability.
