    Introduction
    Hi,

I am a music student with aspirations of one day becoming a band director who is working his way through college by privately tutoring students in the percussive arts. I have been a percussionist for the past ten years of my life and I won't be stopping any time soon. I want to pass on my knowledge to the next generation of percussionists so that they may be able to pass on the knowledge to their students someday. I feel that music is very important not just because I am a musician, but also because of its cultural and historic value. Music began with prehistoric man and continues through today. Music has served many purposes ranging from boosting morale to telling a story. I want music to last through the ages, and I want to do what ever I can to ensure that goal.

As I said, I am a percussionist, which means that I have a very well rounded knowledge of concert percussion (i.e. marimba, timpani, snare drum, etc.), and ethnic percussion (i.e. djembe, darbuka, congas, etc.), and I am currently studying jazz percussion (i.e. vibraphone, drum set, etc.). I have been the principal percussionist in several ensembles, and I have privately studied with Ed Murray (Memphis, TN), Drew Tucker (Deerfield Beach, FL), Tony Lavender (Boca Raton, FL), Nancy Zeltsman (Boca Raton, FL), and Neel Shukla (Boca Raton, FL).

If you are interested please feel free to contact me.

    My Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is completely based on pristine communication skills. The idea is that anybody can learn and I can teach anybody who wants to learn. However, what most educators don't realize is that there aren't any two people in the world that think exactly alike. If that's the case there aren't any two people who learn in the exact same way. In order to teach anybody, you must be able to convey an idea in several different ways in hopes that you might find one way to communicate with the student in that the student will understand the concept of the lesson as well as how to apply it outside of the given assignment. The three P's of my teaching philosophy are Patience, Precision, and Progress, one cannot be achieved without the other.

    Rates And Availability
I am very flexible in where I teach, how long my lessons are, and how much I charge. Everyone has a different situation, therefore everyone should have a plan tailored to their individual needs.
