    My Teaching Background
I have been playing bass and guitar for the past 17 years. I earned a BA in music in 2005 and a MM in Composition from Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University in 2008. I've been teaching music for the past 10 years doing both private lessons and group formats as well as at the university level.

    My Teaching Philosophy
I use an innovative approach to teaching guitar that was developed by my guitar teaching mentor over the past 25 years. Instead of using the logical, linear system used by most guitar teachers, I use a 3 dimensional approach that helps the student progress much faster. Consequently, most students end up playing longer and becoming better guitarists and musicians. It's also a lot more fun than the linear approach because the students gets to explore many aspects of guitar playing at the same time while integrating everything they learning together.

    Rates And Availability
I currently teach out of rented space centrally located between Olympia and Lacey.

Lesson rates vary depending on the wants and needs of the student. I have formats and programs to fit almost any budget, so come in for a free intro lesson and we can discuss what is best for you or your child.
