    About MeContact Me
    Introduction
I am a classically trained violinist and pianist by a variety of the very best in local instructors. As far as formal education, I received my Bachelor's in Science in Mathematics from WWU in 2005.

I have been play the violin now for 20 years, and the piano for 16 years.
I am passionate about teaching people of all ages and backgrounds and have taught almost 1000 students in the last 9 years.

In addition to instructing private lessons, I do a bit of local preforming. I preform both my violin and piano in about 15 weddings per year, and am a new member of the Cascade Symphony. Also, during Christmas time, I play holiday songs in the Everett Mall.

    My Teaching Background
I have been instructing private violin and piano lessons for going on nine years full time. I own two music studios, one in Arlington and the other out of my home in Bothell. Currently between the two locations, I teach 60 students a week, 48 weeks a year! Originally, I received my Suzuki school certification to teach violin, completed a piano pedagogy course in college, and I am an active member of the Washington State Music Teachers Association and the Music Teacher's National Association.

    My Teaching Philosophy
I want to teach my students to enjoy music, through being able to fluently read music, having a solid technique foundation, and also a large repertoire of music they can perform. I am really flexible with the type of music my students play. If you want to learn it, I will teach it to you! I host recitals several times a year, and try to find performing opportunities frequently to have my students feel comfortable playing their instrument in public. If they so desire!

I enjoy working with all types of students: very young, adults, homeschooled, and learning disabled: ADD and autistic. All students are welcome to come and learn!

In students, I look for anyone with an open heart for music and an open mind for learning.
