Introduction
My name is Katherine Mekis and I teach piano, guitar, and flute. The lessons are taught at my house. My Teaching Background
I am a music therapist with a masters in early childhood education. I have been playing for 20+ years. I continue to work on improving my skills by attend workshops and online seminars. My Teaching Philosophy
I believe everyone is musical. Children learn most things thruough play. Therefore my lessons include games that reinforce music skills we are working on. Group piano lessons include piano skills, rhythm ensembles, music theory, ear training and composition. Flute and guitar lessons include theory, ear training and composition. Rates And Availability
All of my lessons are taught at my house. Group piano is $20.00 for 45 minutes plus registration and materials. Flute and Guitar lessons are $18.00 for 30 minutes plus materials. |
