My Teaching Background
I have a B.A. in classical guitar performance, and have taught freelance and with various music schools for the past 17 years, in addition to performing in just about evry style of music from classical to rock and beyond, including blues, jazz, fingerstyle and others.

My Teaching Philosophy
my approach is to identify each student's short and long term goals, and create a lesson plan based on that, supplemented by training in theory, ear training and improvisation, and technique exercises. My basic principle is that all styles of music are based on the same fundamental princilpes, and understanding those will enable any student to learn and play any kind of music.

Rates And Availability
i teach at a music store in downtown Seattle and a studio on Vashon island. I can occasionally teach at a student's home, depending on location. I charge $25 for half hour and $45.00 for hour lessons
