My Teaching Background
I teach beginner to intermediate in bluegrass, jazz, gypsy with a background in music education and believe that anyone can learn anything with an open mind and great attitude! Majored in marketing with a minor in music.

I've been playing mandolin for 7 years but have a 13 year background in music. I play in a few bands around Columbus called the Great Mad Hoax and the Grace Adele Show ... feel free to check it out on myspace!

My Teaching Philosophy
One on one. Everything from pick stroke technique, music theory and how it relates to the mandolin, ways to use music theory so one can find their way around the mandolin much easier, and improvisation. Everyone has their own unique voice. I can help get you started with warm-up exercises and show you how to make those cool licks out there yours as well!

Rates And Availability
My studio is centrally located in Grandview, Ohio. I am willing to come to a student's home but prefer to teach out of my own home (don't worry, there's lots of parking!). I charge a reasonable rate starting at $20 for a half hour and $30 for an hour.
