    About MeContact Me
I teach violin, viola, and piano to ages 6 to adult. I teach beginning to advanced violin and viola and beginning to intermediate piano. Students can study fiddle, pop, classical, baroque music, jazz, and movie music in their lessons with me.

    My Teaching Background
I have my Bachelor's Degree in Music with concentration in Violin Performance. I played in chamber orchestras, string quartets, piano trios, symphonic orchestra, opera, collegium musicum, new music ensemble and did 2 solo recitals as part of my training for my music degree. I studied both the violin and viola in college. Currently an MTAC teacher in the OC West Branch (certificate of merit for violin, music teacher's association of california).

I won a concerto competition and was soloist with the South Orange County Chamber Orchestra in 2004 playing the Haydn Concerto No. 2. I have been to chamber music festivals to have private lessons with teachers like Ken Aiso from the Royal Academy of Music and also study chamber music.

Former Assistant Principal Violist of Symphony Irvine for 3 years and we performed at Segerstrom Hall and worked as a section violist of the Dana Point Symphony that recorded at the Soka Hall. I have also performed at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

I have coached the violins and violas at La Primavera Youth Orchestra, Serrano Middle School, Woodbridge High School, and Los Flores Elementary School. I have been teaching privately for over 15 years.

    My Teaching Philosophy
I teach students how to read music, but they can begin playing their first lesson without reading music.

I like for music to be fun, so I expose the students to many styles of music to see what music they like and have them play some of their favorite songs. They study classical, the suzuki method, jazz, children's songs, pop songs, movie and t.v. music, romantic music, baroque, and 20th Century-Modern music.

I help students so they can join orchestras and play with others if they choose to. We play duets in lessons and students learn rhythm and ear training. I also offer 2 student recitals per year.

I look for students that have a good attitude towards learning. Lessons are normally broken up into many activities such as exercises, games, ear training, reading music, flash cards, rhythm exercises, and solo music.
