    Musical Philosophy -
My teaching philosophy centers around musicality and accurate interpretation of all styles, smooth and fluid technique, beautiful tone with many color variations as well as a good sense of intonation. I always like to choose music that suits the needs of the student. Understanding all styles and techniques is important and all will be explored through solos, etudes, scales, sightreading and a bit of music theory. There is no one way to teach and I can help you achieve your goals and be the best flutist you can, by creating an approach that works for each individual student. I can teach you how to practice in the most efficient way and help you prepare for auditions so you have the confidence to perform well under pressure. I am always available for extra coaching before a performance or audition.
