Hello and thank you for visiting my profile!

Each voice is unique; each singer is unique. My specialty--and my passion--is helping singers develop their unique talents to their fullest potential. I love teaching voice, and am results-oriented; my students' growth and success are paramount.

My teaching, for the most part, is based upon classical singing technique, in the centuries-old tradition of the great Italian singing masters. This approach, known as "bel canto" (beautiful singing), emphasizes the development of all of the elements of voice production, resulting in a healthy, strong, free, and flexible vocal instrument. In addition, I am a certified (level I) teacher of Somatic Voicework(sm), The LoVetri Method. This is a holistic, voice science-based approach to training singers in styles other than classical. Certain technical principles are common to all styles of singing, and I will tailor your lessons to suit your individual needs and goals. In any style of singing, a healthy technique ensures a longer singing career--my own vocal longevity attests to this!

I have been teaching voice students since 1979, both privately and in academic institutions, as my own singing career and family obligations have permitted. My career as an operatic and concert soloist spanned over two decades and took me to some of the world's most interesting performing venues. I have appeared with the Vienna State Opera, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Santa Fe Opera, England's Kentish Opera, the Arizona Opera, the Virginia Opera, and numerous other opera companies, festivals, and orchestras across the United States and Europe. I have received critical acclaim, and won many awards and honors for my singing. It has been a grand adventure!* At this season in my life, however, my greatest joy comes through helping my students realize their vocal and artistic goals.

*My full bio is available on request.

My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and a Master's degree in Vocal Performance. I also studied privately for years, both in the United States and Europe, honing my skills in this very competitive profession. Thanks to the guidance of some of the world's greatest voice teachers, I have been able to master my own singing technique, and continue to develop new skills as I explore different styles of singing.

I am member of NATS, The National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Lessons are available Monday through Friday. Because developing a singer's voice is a relatively a long-term endeavor, I make a point to keep my rates as affordable as possible. I currently charge $45 for an hour lesson. This rate applies to regularly scheduled (weekly or bi-weekly) lessons. An initial consultation is provided free of charge. Advanced or professional singers who wish to work on a short-term or intermittent basis can inquire about the fees for these types of lessons.

My studio is located in Belle Mead, New Jersey, just off of US Highway 206. Belle Mead borders Hillsborough on the south, and is about 9 miles north of Princeton.
