Hello and thank you for visiting my profile! At this time, my studio is full; I am not able to accept any new students. When this changes, I will edit this profile again. My recommendation to anyone searching for a voice teacher is to use the search feature on the website, This is an excellent filter for locating knowledgeable and skilled voice teachers.

Each voice is unique; each singer is unique. My specialty--and my passion--is helping singers develop their unique talents to their fullest potential.

My teaching is grounded in the time-honored traditions of the great Italian bel canto singing masters, as well as in cutting-edge voice science. The common thread through both is a respect for the physiology of the voice, and an application of individually tailored, methodical training to improve vocal function. The result: the voice steadily increases in strength, coordination, freedom, clarity, flexibility, and beauty; the singer blossoms as a creative, expressive artist.

I work with classical ("legit") singers, as well as with singers of other vocal styles in Contemporary Commercial Music (Pop, Rock, Broadway, Jazz). I am fully certified in Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method, a holistic, voice science-based approach to voice training, that is endorsed by renowned teachers, Grammy Award-winning singers, voice scientists, physicians, and speech-language pathologists throughout the world (see

In any style of singing, a healthy, well-functioning voice is the foundation for success--my own vocal longevity attests to this!

I have been teaching voice students since 1979, both privately and in academic institutions, as my own singing career and family obligations have permitted. My career as an operatic and concert soloist spanned over two decades and took me to some of the world's most interesting performing venues. I have appeared with the Vienna State Opera, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Santa Fe Opera, England's Kentish Opera, the Arizona Opera, the Virginia Opera, and numerous other opera companies, festivals, and orchestras across the United States and Europe. I have received critical acclaim, and won many awards and honors for my singing. It has been a grand adventure!* At this season in my life, however, my greatest joy comes through helping my students realize their vocal and artistic goals.

*A full bio is available on request.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Music Education degree, and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance. I also studied privately for years, both in the United States and Europe, honing my skills in this very competitive profession. I am a committed lifelong learner, and continue to expand my knowledge and deepen my understanding of the wonderful art--and science--of singing.
