    About MeContact Me
I'm a musician and teacher with many years of experience. I have studied with members of the Chicago Symphony , such as Christopher Leuba, Arnold Jacobs and Vincent Chichowicz.
My other teachers include Fred Sautter (Oregon Symphony), Ronald Modell, Claude Gordon.
I teach all ages - my students range from 7 to 80 years of age. I play in the Northwest Sinfonietta, Federal Way Symphony, The Pacific Brass Quintet, and with many ensembles in the Seattle Area as well as soloing.

    My Teaching Background
I have two degrees, A Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Northern Illinois University, and a Masters Degree in Music Performance from Western Washington University.
I've been teaching privately for over 25 years. One of my trumpet students won the state solo and ensemble competition for the last two years, and is now at Oberlin. Another is at Julliard. Others have gone on to other top schools, such as the New England Conservatory and Berklee.
I work very well with beginners ,and go up to professional level.

    My Teaching Philosophy
I teach music , not just the trumpet or other brass instruments. I focus on solid basics of breathing, tone, technique, practicing, range, endurance, and several
styles of music, classical to jazz.
I look for a student to practice and be persistent-and to have fun . I believe that's more valuable than talent, although talent certainly helps. Enjoyment of music is the point,
for the most part, since few seek a career in music. Music is something that most people can enjoy for their whole lives!

    Rates And Availability
I teach in music stores in Renton and Kent, and in my house in Mountlake Terrace, just north of Seattle.
I charge $100 per month; that is , for one half hour lesson per week.
