Hi Michael,
Is there a place on this site that I can enter a list of all my students and keep track of their attendance? All in one place?
thanks, Robin

is the only option of keeping track....going to each student and marking dates under private notes? Maybe we need one blank page.
Thanks,
Robin

Hi Robin,

Presently, there's no feature on the site that does exactly what you want. I think the best way to do this would be:

1. Support recurring events on the calendar, so a student's regular lesson time could be entered once.
2. Add a field to "lesson" events on the calendar that would mark what happened (Attended / missed / cancelled with notice, cancelled without notice.)
3. Add an extra page to My Studio summarizing the statistics.
4. Add a field to the student detail showing an attendance record for the student.

What do you think? I'd be interested in hearing others' feedback on this issue as well! If we can get some consensus, I'll put it on the "to implement" list.

best,

Michael

It would be an EXTREMELY helpful feature for me. It would take me one step closer to taking my massive binder and starting to make it more electronic. There's my two cents.

Hi!
I seem to be having trouble adding students to my calendar today! I also don't see an indication for repeating the ocurrance in the calendar. I'll keep working on it!
One thing that I need and I bet others too, is having 15 minutes increments. I don't always start on the hour and 1/2 hour. Is this possible?

thanks, Robin

Hi Robin,

The recurring event feature, as well as as the 15 minute scheduling increments, are both on the way but not in place yet. ETA is a couple of weeks on those.

Best,

Michael

Michael,
I do support recurring events and everything else that you suggested. Can't wait!

Robin, I couldn't enter Patrick's lesson on here. A couple of problems, his lesson is at 3:15 for 45 minutes and neither are options on the calendar provided. Second, there is no confirmation that you received the email. It would be helpful if there was an auto reply that the date and time had been entered into your calendar.

I use a service called appointmentquest. You can just google it and you should get hits. It is an excellent online interface that allows you to download your schedule to outlooks calendar and tons more. the monthly fee is reasonable for one sevice location and you can even upgrade so folks can pay you online before they schedule! Neat stuff, although I still keep track on paper too.

Interesting site. In the longterm, I hope to integrate the best of those features into this website - the calendaring features I'm currently working on are the first step :)
