Julie SlamaOffering viola lessons, violin lessons, and fiddle lessons in Chilton Shelby Jefferson, Alabama | | 1. I tried unsuccessfully for quite a while to edit my profile. Despite using various 'edit profile' buttons, it stubbornly refused to change once I had typed in the new info. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it would be nice if things were a bit more intuitive in that regard. 2. Also, since I live in the country, on the border between two different counties it's a real pain to be restricted to only one area in my profile. | | | Michael ConnollyOffering fiddle lessons, mandolin lessons, and guitar lessons in Seattle, Washington | | Hi Julie,
I try to make the site as intuitive to use as possible, so I'm very interested in the features that aren't working for you.
For editing your profile, the thing to remember is that you always need to hit the "Update My Profile" button on any of the editing pages. For example, to edit your bio text, you would log in, click the "My Profile" tab, then "About Me" on the left side of the screen. After making the edits you want in the text box, you would click "Update My Profile" at the bottom of the page. Without this last step, your changes will be lost.
If you are already doing this, please let me know! That would be something I would need to look into further.
As for the multiple locations issue: This is a commonly requested feature, and one that I'm currently working on! I hope it can be delivered sooner rather than later...

I would like to second the request for a "multiple locations" feature as my "secondary" studio site has 6 times the population density as my primary, established, studio and I would like a way to highlight it in the search mechanism on the site. Thank you for an excellent site. I am new, about three weeks, to the learningmusician.com site and am throughly impressed, already getting a fair amount of action .... enough that I will be extending my subscription when the free trial expires. I've explored a number of different web-based teacher referral sites and have found this to be the best designed to this point. Congratulations on a job well done.
