Hi everybody!
If your looking for concertina lessons from an authentic Irish girl whose first love is Irish music then its me your looking for.
I am 28 years old and recently moved from Ireland to Arizona in 2008, where I lived for 2 years. I am now situated in Beverly, Massachusetts. I was born and raised in a little village in Co. Clare called New Quay, a couple of miles away from Bellharbour and only 4-5 miles from Kinvara, Co. Galway. I was an Irish dancer before I was a concertina player but gave up the dancing to concentrate on the music. My father , Martin Fahy is a lovely concertina player and it is by him I was influenced the most. Some of my past teachers include, Brid Meaney, Josephine Marsh and Dymphna O Sullivan. I have taken workshops with Tim Collins and Michael O Raghaillaigh also.
I teach and play Irish traditional music in Boston now. While in Ireland I taught young children as well as adults which I loved very much. I love getting the opportunity to pass on my music knowledge with people all over and experience just how popular and loved Irish music is both at home and around the world.
My lessons are 45mins - 1 hr @ $50. My availability is pretty flexible but we can always work out something that suits both. I teach from my home in Beverly, MA and I would prefer not to have to travel.
