    About MeContact Me
My name is Erica Convery and I am a professional opera singer. I teach voice and beginning piano to students of all ages, skill levels, and musical interests! I believe anyone can learn to sing or play an instrument, and my goal is to help each student reach their potential, gain confidence, and have fun!

    My Teaching Background
I have been teaching for over ten years and I have a Master of Music degree from Peabody Conservatory of Music in Vocal Performace and Vocal Pedagogy (the teaching of voice). I also have a Bachelor of Music- Vocal Performance from California State University Stanislaus. I perform regularly with companies including Seattle Opera, Tacoma Opera, Bellevue City Opera, and many more.

    My Teaching Philosophy
Each student has their own way of learning and responding to new information. I tailor my approach based on the needs of each student and I always look for different ways to motivate and reward each individual. I am very detail oriented and I am always looking for improvement with my students, but I am also patient and kind. Learning a new craft can be tough, so I make sure to keep it lighthearted!

    Rates And Availability
I teach in a studio room in my home dedicated to only music making. The room is smoke free and pet free to minimize any allergies. My price is $30 per half hour or $60 per hour. I do not travel to student's homes.
