Let's face the facts as they actually are. The pop through to new wave and hard rock/heavy metal were and still are by almost everyone's standard, far more intelligible music forms than almost everything that came onto the music scene in the 90's. Thank goodness that musicians like Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Craig Goldie, Eddie Van Halen and many others are still out there keeping the flame of rock burning as hot as ever!
