Introduction
Hello, my name is Bonnie Kotzer, and I teach piano, digital piano, and keyboard in my studio in Lakewood, Colorado.
My Teaching Background
I have 17 years experience teaching children and adults, beginners through advanced. Many of my students play with their school orchestra, school jazz band, or with their school or church choirs. Some also go on to study music in college.
My teachers included members of the Seattle Symphony, members of the Denver Symphony, graduates of the Moscow Conservatority, and a number of different college professors. I studied music at both the University of Washington and University of Colorado.
I spent 10 years as a professional performer, playing keyboard in the bands "Howard and Company" and "Arabesque". I also did alot of solo work, playing weddings, parties, corporate events, and anniversaries. Eventually I stopped performing, and devoted myself full-time to teaching.
My Teaching Philosophy
I love music, and aim to instill that love of music in my students, whether they want to study popular, classical, jazz, or Christian music. Perhaps you have a little child who wants to learn "Twinkle Twinkle". Or maybe you are an adult who took piano lessons as a child, and wants to learn the "Moonlight Sonata". I also teach alot of adults who are starting as total beginners. I strive to make my lessons both fun and educational at the same time.

Rates And Availability
I teach out of my studio in Lakewood. I have both a Steinway grand piano and a Yamaha electric keyboard.
Monthly lessons fees are $85.00 for one full month of weekly half hour lessons.
