    Introduction
I am a piano teacher. I also teach Music Theory and Rhythm. I teach all ages, private and group keyboard lessons.
I teach early childhood music programs which I create incorporating the wonderful teaching philosophies of Kindermusik, Montessori, Orff and many other wonderful and inspiring methods.
I have experience in dance and drama which I love to incorporate in my classes and in all our Performances.
I am a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers. MusicLink. NAMTA.

    My Teaching Background
I took private piano lessons with very accomplished piano teachers from the age of 6 to 17years. I am a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers .
I have been teaching piano for over 20 years. Started teaching at the age of 17 in Florida. From 2001 to 2018 in Michigan. I studied general music at Miami Dade NC. Flamenco dance with the former renown dancer Luisita Sevilla.
Major Modeling at Barbizon School of Modeling SFl.

I am always exploring new developments in music research, reading and doing self studies primarily the ones that have to do with how music benefits our overall existence and the healing power of music.

Technology is a wonderful aid in teaching music these days, and we make good use of it by playing computer games, and incorporating on line lessons to some of our classes.

One of the most important and fulfilling activity that I have been involved in was working as a volunteer for the Make A Wish Foundation in So. Fl. as a Wish Granter. I was Volunteer of the year in 1991, and appeared with three of my wish children in the Spanish TV Show of Cristina Saralegui. It was a great honor to be part of such an amazing organization and meeting my wish children impacted my life so profoundly,I learned that Faith and Hope are two great things, and that the strength of a terminally ill child is indescribable. I made a lot of friends from the Heart, little angels that will always remind me to value human life. Those children and their families taught me a lot about Love.
    .

    My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that we are all musical in our own way. I am more concerned about the heart of the student than the "talent" a person might have. Talent is great! but they LOVE to play the music is what will drive the person to achieve
and be dedicated to their studies.
I want my students to be interested in music. To have that sense of wonder and to get deeply in tune with the whole concept of learning to play the instrument and understand what is on the paper, so when they play, they can enjoy beautiful sounds.
I do my best to always encourage and never allow negative attitudes to take over, I CAN'T is not allowed in my Studio! I am firm but use a lot of humor and hugs.

I take pride when my students develop self-confidence, advance to higher levels and most of all when they find peace and joy in their music.

    ALSO OFFERING:

"Music and Me" a Pre-K Music program that I have developed and taught for many years in Early Childhood centers, and in Homeschool groups. We use many percussion instruments and do a lot of moving activities. I also offer Group Piano for kids ages 6-12. in groups of four.
