    About MeContact Me
I have been playing the trombone for 11 years and have been teaching beginning and intermediate students for four years. I also play the violin (18 years) and guitar (5 years). I just graduated from Yale University and will be entering medical school at the University of Washington next year.

I have studied trombone under Jeremy Berkman of the Vancouver Opera Society, Gregory Cox and Gordon Cherry of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and Scott Hartman at the Yale School of Music. I have extensive experience in both performing classical and jazz trombone, having performed with the Yale Symphony Orchestra, Yale Jazz Ensemble, and Yale Concert Band during my time at school. I have also performed with the Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble, which toured Singapore for the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles.

My achievements include a third place prize in the 2004-2005 Music Teachers National Association Senior Brass Student Competition national finals and Grade 8 Certification for music history, music theory, and violin performance with the Royal Conservatory of Music.

I am experienced in teaching high school and middle school students and can work well with beginners to achieve realistic and focused goals. I will to drive to most locations in the Seattle area to teach and charge $35 for an hour long lesson or $20 for a half hour lesson.

I'm friendly, patient, and diligent, and currently I am available in the afternoons and evenings on weekdays and all day on weekends.

If interested, please contact me with your level of experience and any repertoire you are currently working on.
